Christian fellowship motivates its members

BOONVILLE — The FCA at Starmount High School stands for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It is an organization which presents challenge and adventure for coaches and young student athletes to witness to others about Christianity, as well as serve Jesus in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

More than 25 members of this club get together every morning at 7:40 a.m. in the Starmount gym for fellowship and prayer.

The FCA has been at Starmount High School for more than 20 years, empowering young people, such as Josh Spillman and Adam Houston, two FCA members, to serve Jesus Christ.

These students feel this is a club which brings young students together and helps them find and receive the glory of God’s salvation. They explained how this club makes them feel more involved and closer to their Savior by getting together every morning with the other members, praying, and starting off the day in a peaceful, motivational, and hopeful way.

Christian Smith is a member of the Starmount High School Journalism Club.
